Virginia Lee Pratt was an eminently successful mathematics teacher, counselor, and math department chair at Central. She completed forty-one years with the Omaha Public Schools in 1982. While at Central, she was selected to study at Columbia University for a one-year fellowhip in humanities. Her students regularly won the state and regional mathematics contests making Central one of the most respected schools in the state. She is revered by her former students and has been superbly loyal to “her” school even in retirement. She has established a mathematics department award in her name and continues to support other math department scholarships. She lives in Omaha.
Virginia passed away in 2015 at the age of 96.
