Since its beginning in 1996, the Central High School Foundation, an organization serving over 50,000 alumni, students, parents, and staff, has been under the leadership of its first Executive Director, Terry Price. Terry’s dedication to Central is unequaled. Terry began volunteering at Central in 1990 when her son started there, and she served as P.E.P. president when her daughter was a senior in 1998. When invited to become involved with the CHS Foundation in its beginnings, Terry accepted with enthusiasm, even operating the office out of her home for several years. Eventually, with Terry’s guidance and the help of many others, the Foundation was moved to its office at 50th and Dodge. In addition to her role as executive director of the CHS Foundation, she is the organization’s treasurer and helps other groups also supporting Central, including the Alumni Association, Athletic Boosters, Band Parents, P.E.P. and V.O.I.C.E. Terry’s total dedication to Central is manifested in her dealings with alumni, staff, students, and community, both local and national. Terry’s decisions are always in the best interest of Central. She has been identified as the “heart and soul of the CHS Foundation, Central’s number one ambassador, and the person who pulls all of Central’s supporters together.”
