Vice Admiral Robert Schoultz became Deputy Chief of Naval Operations in command of all aviation forces in the U.S. Navy. He began his career of forty-four years in the NROTC program at the University of Nebraska and graduated from George Washington University. He earned his Navy wings in 1945 and later commanded the Naval Air Forces in the Pacific. During his extensive career, Schoultz earned three Distinguished Service Awards, the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star, and combat citations for service in Korea and Vietnam. As a three-star admiral he is the highest-ranking officer to graduate from Central in its over 100-year history. Schoultz also consulted for corporations in the Washington D.C. area.
Robert passed away in 2017 at the age of 92.
