Joseph M. Orduna’s life has been to a positive role model for young people by striving for personal excellence and encouraging others to succeed. After lettering in football, wrestling, and track at Central, he accepted a football scholarship to the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. While in college, he served as president of both the Letterman’s Club and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He was on Nebraska’s National Football Champion Team in 1970, was named all Big Eight Conference running back and selected as the Coaches’ All-American Most Valuable Player. After playing in the National Football League for four years, Joe pursued a business career in sales, marketing, and human resources. In 1993, he became a secondary science teacher, and he currently teaches, coaches track, and volunteers in Prison Fellowship Ministry in California.
