As a graduate of CHS, second in his class, Yale University, magna cum laude, and Yale Law School, cum laude, as a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University, and as a practicing attorney, Howard J. Kaslow was, and remains, at the top of his class and at the top of his profession, having been recognized for his outstanding achievements in his academic preparation, in his legal career, and in his volunteer work in the community. While at Central, he combined classroom excellence with debate championships and track achievements, contributing to CHS track championships in the high and low hurdles. Howard’s law career has focused on business organizations and transactions, trusts and estate planning. During his law career, he has been selected as a Fellow of both the American Bar Foundation and the Nebraska State Bar Foundation, has been listed in “Best Lawyers in America” for more than 15 years, and was named “Omaha Best Lawyers Corporate Lawyer of the Year for 2010” by Best Lawyers. Beyond his law career, Howard has been involved with numerous civic groups, including serving as a board member of the Omaha Community Foundation and Boys Town, as a Director and Past President of the Fontenelle Nature Association, as Past President of the Jewish Federation of Omaha, as a Director and Past Chairman of Inclusive Communities and as a member of the governance council of the Institute for Holocaust Education.
