Recognized for his excellence in both business and community service, Harley Schrager has made significant contributions to Omaha and to the greater metropolitan area. Becoming President of the Pacesetter Corporation at age 29, he successfully directed its growth into the nation’s largest, independent, direct sales home improvement company, employing more than 2,000 people. In 2001 the Omaha Chamber of Commerce honored Harley for his achievements by making him, at that time, the youngest inductee in its Business Hall of Fame. Regarding community service, Harley has served on the Boards of many not-for-profit organizations, including Children’s Hospital, Children’s Museum, the Jewish Federation Foundation (President), Girls, Inc., (President), Omaha Sports Commission (Pres. and Chr. of 2008 and 2012 Olympic Swim Trials), CWS of Omaha, Inc., (Exec. Committee), for 25 years, and he founded and sponsored Pacesetter Youth Baseball for 15 years. For these efforts and others, he has received numerous awards including NCCJ’s Humanitarian of the Year.
