Dr. Emmanuel Papadakis has had an eminent career in physics research, applied physics, and engineering. He has become a world-class expert in ultrasonic and nondestructive testing (NDT). After receiving a Ph.D. from M.I.T., he began his career at Bell Telephone Laboratories in Pennsylvania, became head of research and development in NDT for the Ford Motor Company, and developed a new theory of economic productivity at the Center for Nondestructive Evaluation at Iowa State University. Papadakis has received numerous awards from the American Society for Nondestructive Testing and serves as technical director for the ASNT journal. He is currently of Quality Systems Concepts and runs an antique business with his wife. He lives in Pennsylvania.
John passed away in 2018 at the age of 83.
