Project Proposal
The annual day-long trip from Omaha to Kansas City to the National WWI Museum, teaching students about WWI from a world class museum only 3 hours away.
Amount Funded
$3,000/year for 3 years
Students Impacted
Approximately 250 students.
Commitment to Closing the Opportunity Gap
Free and Reduced Lunch (FRL) qualifiers do not have any costs and the total costs for other students is $15 for both the museum fees and lunch.
Translation to College and Career Readiness
Experiences like these help classrooms experience history and fuel discussion in far greater depth and sophistication. Classroom lessons on WWI are extended and rare collections expand their studies, with competitive activities giving focus to their attention and content knowledge.
