After completing service in the United States Marine Corps in 1985, Lisa returned to Omaha where she enrolled at UNO, studying business administration, including specializing in management information systems and accounting, graduating magna cum laude in1992. She began her business career as a consultant providing companies with specialized information technology support. In 1997, Lisa established her own company, CSSS, Client/Server Software Solutions, with headquarters in Bellevue, NE, its mission to provide a complete array of IT services to its clients. As CEO of CSSS, Lisa, initially focused on commercial markets (Ameritrade, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, ConAgra, First Data Resources, and others), eventually, refocusing her company on the federal sector by gaining contracts with STRATCOM, NASA, the VA, Medicaid, and Medicare, and others. CSSS has been nationally-recognized as one of the fastest growing IT firms in the U.S., due in large measure to Lisa’s vision, initiative, drive, and perseverance. Lisa has been featured in magazine articles both for her company’s phenomenal success and for her personal accomplishments as CEO. Lisa attributes her success to her Marine Corps training, to her educational preparation, and to her company’s excellent staff.
