Charles Marr was the first CEO of Alegent Health, the largest integrated healthcare system in Nebraska. Alegent includes five metropolitan medical centers, four rural hospitals, and 42 primary care clinics in Nebraska and Iowa. Marr is a Fremont native who attended Wharton School of Finance and Commerce and received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska. Marr is active in the community, currently serving as vice-chair of Midland Lutheran College and president of Omaha Sister Cities Association. He is also a board member of the Boy Scouts of America, Omaha Community Playhouse, and the UNO National Advisory Board for the College of Business Administration. Marr is a Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives and was awarded their Regents Award for professional excellence. He also received the Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award from UNO.
