Dr. Rusty Crossman is an Omaha ophthalmologist whose incredible vision for Central High School led to the development of the CHS Foundation which benefits students, staff and the community in many ways. He was instrumental in the completion if the impressive Vietnam War Memorial at the school’s west entrance and is working to enhance the current renovation of Central beyond what OPS plans to provide. His energy and enthusiasm for his alma mater are boundless, and the positive results will impact Central and the Omaha community forever. For over twenty years, Crossman has been the voluntary ophthalmologist for the Henry Doorly Zoo, operating on tigers, monkeys and giraffes. He also volunteers for the Society to Prevent Blindness, is a past board member of Planned Parenthood, a past president of the Omaha Eye Society, and the current chair of First Eye Associates.
