Project Proposal
Contributions to the CHS Foundation will help cover the cost associated with travel, accommodations, and associated expenses for select CHS football players to attend two collegiate football tournaments at North Tennessee State and the University of Colorado at Boulder which will help our student athletes develop their skills and provide them with recruitment exposure.
Amount Funded: $20,500
“The travel and competition experience has been a major contributor to the positives on and off the field. We are so grateful to the Foundation for providing these opportunities. A few of the kids have gained big time exposure and have made significant accomplishments, including Central High having the country’s number one ranked Safety in the class of 2027!”

Commitment to Closing the Opportunity Gap
The costs of air travel, hotel accommodations, and tournament fees can put some players at a disadvantage when it comes competing at out-of-state events such as these. Support from the Foundation allows members of the football program to participate in summer tournaments which directly impacts the team in the fall. According to Football Assistant Coach, Abdul Muhammad, “Last year we had a 1-7 record combined for both tournaments. This year we went 10-2 combined, and two of our student-athletes received offers at the Colorado tournament.” The Eagles finished the 2025 season with a 6-3 record.
Translation to College and Career Readiness
Competing and playing against athletes who are heavily recruited by colleges and universities pushes Central players to get better academically and athletically. These opportunities are pivotal for the student-athletes’ futures because they compete against some of the top players in the country and also see the type of work ethic it takes to succeed at the college level.
“Thanks to the CHS Foundation I was able to compete against different teams outside of Nebraska, and that helped better my skills and bond with my coaches and teammates.”
